What Call Auditor does
Call Auditorrecords sales calls (via our Chrome extension or file upload), transcribes them, and produces a coaching report that checks the call against your team's playbook. To do that we have to process call audio and store transcripts. This page explains exactly what happens to that data.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and workspace name.
- Call audio— when you record with the extension, we capture the call tab's audio and your microphone, mixed into one compressed audio file. The recording is kept in private storage so members of your workspace can listen back to the call from its report. A workspace owner can delete a recording at any time from the report page, or turn off recording retention entirely in Settings (audio is then deleted right after transcription); the transcript and report stay either way.
- Call details from the extension — along with the recording, the extension sends the link of the tab you recorded (so the call can be matched to your calendar event and reopened), the meeting name from a Google Meet tab title, the recording length, and the playbook you picked. It reads nothing from other tabs and keeps no browsing history.
- Transcripts and reports — the transcript of each call and the audit report generated from it are stored so you can revisit them. They belong to your workspace.
- Billing data — payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Usage analytics — we record product events (pages viewed, features used, extension actions such as starting a recording, error messages) tied to your account or to an anonymous browser id, and use Yandex Metrika on our pages (cookies, click and session-replay recordings). This is used only to understand where people get stuck and to improve the product; it never includes call audio or transcript content and is never sold.
- Calendar data (optional)— if you connect Google Calendar in Settings, we use read-only access to match a recorded call to its calendar event and store a snapshot of that one event (name, time, attendees, description) with the call's report. We never read events unrelated to your recorded calls, and disconnecting revokes our access at Google. Your notes on a call are private to you.
The Chrome extension
- It records only after you press Start (or use the keyboard shortcut / right-click item) and confirm consent for that call. While idle it captures nothing.
- It captures the audio of that one call tab and your microphone, shows a recording indicator on the call page, and sends the recording only to callauditor.tech — no other service.
- It stores in your browser a pairing token that links it to your workspace and the state of an in-progress upload. Disconnecting or uninstalling the extension removes both.
- It never collects browsing history, page content, keystrokes, or anything from tabs you did not choose to record.
Recording consent is your responsibility
Call-recording laws differ by country and state; many require the consent of all participants. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction before recording a call. The extension asks you to confirm this before every recording.
Who processes the data (sub-processors)
- Vercel — application hosting and private audio storage (US).
- Neon — database for transcripts, reports, and account data (US).
- OpenAI — audio transcription (Whisper API). Audio sent for transcription is not used to train OpenAI models per their API terms.
- DeepSeek — transcript analysis for the audit report. Only the transcript text is sent, never audio.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Yandex Metrika — web analytics and session replays on our own pages (never inside your calls).
Retention and deletion
- Call audio: stored privately until a workspace owner deletes it (from the call's report page) or the account is deleted.
- Transcripts and reports: stored until you delete them or your account.
- To delete your account and all associated data, email shatokhinanton@gmail.com — we complete deletion within 30 days.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- We don't use your calls or transcripts to train AI models.
- We don't record anything without an explicit start action from you.
